What changed in Q2 2026
The quarter’s clearest theme was reducing friction. We focused on making it easier to get donation records into ItsDeducted, easier to review them once they were there, and easier to export cleaner documentation later.
That meant adding more starting points, improving the review workflow, and making the donation record itself more complete.
Historical snapshot: this review covers product capabilities, plan details, and product metrics from Q2 2026. For the current product, see How It Works and current pricing.
Faster ways to get donation records into ItsDeducted
One of the biggest Q2 improvements was giving people more realistic ways to start a donation record instead of forcing everything through a single entry path.
- Google Play availability: Android users could install ItsDeducted directly from Google Play.
- Paste-based list import: users with an existing donation list could copy, paste, or import it into ItsDeducted instead of rebuilding it from scratch.
- Migration-friendly workflows: people moving from TurboTax ItsDeductible or older spreadsheet-based systems had a clearer path to bring existing records forward.
- Broader item recognition: AI-assisted identification and expanded valuation coverage improved the starting point for more commonly donated household items.
The practical goal was simple: start with what you already have—a phone, a rough list, or older records—and spend less time rebuilding donation history by hand.
Review and recordkeeping got easier
Getting information into the app is only half the job. Q2 also focused on what happens after capture, especially for people reviewing larger donation lists.
Workflow
Less cleanup after capture
Dashboard improvements, auto-save, easier category editing, and a stronger mobile experience reduced the number of manual steps needed to review donation records.
Coverage
More commonly donated items
ItsDeducted’s item catalog grew 137% during the quarter, expanding the set of items the product could recognize and value.
We also continued shipping behind-the-scenes reliability work so the product would feel more dependable in everyday use, not just more capable on paper.
The donation record itself became more complete
ItsDeducted is designed to support the recordkeeping process around a donation, not only item identification. Q2 added several pieces that made the final record more useful later.
- Cash and mileage tracking: users could record cash gifts and charitable mileage alongside donated items rather than keeping them in separate systems.
- TXF export: ItsDeducted added TXF export for compatible tax-software workflows, including TurboTax Desktop.
- Expanded self-serve resources: the ItsDeducted site, resource pages, and blog grew to answer more common product and donation-recordkeeping questions.
- Automated testing: more automated checks were added around key workflows as the product expanded.
Free and Pro changed this quarter too
Q2 was not only about features. Account tiers also changed so more people could get started before upgrading, while Pro added more value for shared recordkeeping.
Pro in Q2 2026
Shared access and more visibility
During Q2, Pro added a donation impact summary and allowed users to invite a spouse, family member, or accountant to help manage donation records.
Free in Q2 2026
More room to get started
By the end of Q2, Free accounts could track up to $750 in total donation value and included one list import for up to 50 items.

A Q2 product metric snapshot
As of June 26, 2026, active ItsDeducted Pro users had tracked donations with an average estimated tax benefit of $1,207.
That figure is a historical snapshot from that date, not a current product metric. ItsDeducted has not verified whether recorded donations were or will be claimed on users’ tax returns. Actual tax benefit depends on eligibility, documentation, itemization, tax rate, and each user’s tax situation.
Where this left ItsDeducted heading into Q3
Q2 was about tightening the workflow from end to end: easier capture, cleaner review, stronger exports, and account tiers that better matched how people actually donate and document items.
By the end of June, ItsDeducted had become a more practical place to start, organize, and keep donation records before tax time. The product was still evolving, but the foundation was significantly stronger than it had been at the start of the quarter.
